About Us
Echo Cut Productions was founded in 2022 by Northampton-based filmmaker Declan Swallow with a straightforward goal: to tell honest, human stories with sharp creative vision. What began as a passion project during university quickly evolved into a full-fledged creative brand focused on narrative filmmaking, editing, and script development.
Inspired by real-life experiences and a background in mental health work, Declan built Echo Cut as a platform for bold storytelling — blending emotional truth with dark humour, striking visuals, and grounded characters. Our early work included short dramas and commissioned promotional content for local businesses, allowing us to connect directly with real people and stories.
Since then, Echo Cut has become a creative outlet for developing original film and video content that challenges, entertains, and resonates. From working with clients to producing independent shorts, we’ve stayed true to our ethos: cut clean, clever, and always cut with meaning.
